Composer and violinist Harpreet Bansal has garnered great international recognition for her personal interpretation of the raga tradition. She was the first musician to study Indian music at The Norwegian Academy of Music.
In Bansal’s music consists of both large, meditative soundscapes, playfulness and improvised spontaneity – everything with very high precision. Indian music and family background combined with a Norwegian upbringing has led to a very personal approach to the Indian musical heritage - which shines through her music.
In the concert series PÅ! contemporary music and sound art are at the centre. The concert program highlights new works by contemporary composers and performers, through a series of concerts at MUNCH. The concert series gives the public the opportunity to experience the best music and ensembles in their field, and to get to know both new and more established performers.
